Project Overview
Oomiak recently completed the installation and commissioning of a new ice rink refrigeration system at the Adelaide Ice Arena in Thebarton, South Australia.
The Ice Arena needed to replace their ageing refrigeration systems which were separately serving their small and large ice rinks. The project involved the replacement of the existing systems with a new centralised glycol reticulation system served by two packaged water-cooled chillers.
Each chiller has a refrigeration capacity of 330kW, and supplies glycol to the rinks at a temperature of -12 degC.
The primary objective of the project was to ensure the stability of both the large and small ice surfaces.
