A big congratulations to Oomiak’s own Taylor Hartman-Kearns for winning the 2022 SA Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Apprentice of the Year Award at the recent AIRAH Award night. Taylor is a fourth-year apprentice working out of Oomiak’s Customer Support team in South Australia and we couldn’t be prouder of this achievement.
I’d like to thank Oomiak for the opportunities they have and continue to give me through my apprenticeship. A big thank you to Doug Steel and all the technicians that have taken time out of their days to train me – Oomiak really does provide a great learning environment. AIRAH represents professionals and practitioners working in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) and building services industries. Their mission is to create an industry that reflects highly skilled professionals, safety, sustainability and being environmentally effective.
Therefore, to earn an award from this body is a big achievement, showcasing these admirable traits. The Apprentice of the Year award recognises outstanding students at any level in the HVAC&R industry’s trade sector.
Oomiak currently has 15 Apprentices across the business, and we see this investment in skills as critical to our success in the future. We couldn’t be prouder of this achievement and the standard met by all our team both on-site and in the office.
