Project Overview
Oomiak were engaged by Pinata Farms to design, supply, install and commission a refrigeration system to serve two Fast Cool rooms for a berry facility in Tasmania.
The Pinata Farms Facility consists of one Freon, dual compressor condensing unit and two Oomiak Fast-Cooler (OFC) units designed to provide cooling to the rooms within the facility.
The facility consists of 2 Fast-Cooler rooms at +2°C, and a packing room currently at ambient. Oomiak have installed one OFC unit for each Fast-Cooler room and provisions for one future evaporator in the packing room.
R134A refrigerant is circulated from the external condensing unit to the OFCs to provide cooling before returning to the condensing unit. The refrigeration control logic of all units is controlled from the Carel Mastercella located at the front of each room.
